USTA

A Community Tennis Association (CTA) is a local organization that is part of the USTA network that promotes and develops the growth of tennis and is made up of tennis enthusiasts interested in seeing the game of tennis grow in their area.

A USTA CTA stands for  Community Tennis Association, a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization that works to promote and develop the growth of tennis in a specific community. These associations coordinate and maintain tennis programs, ensuring they are accessible to everyone, and can act as advocates, program administrators, promoters, or fundraisers. CTAs organize events like leagues, tournaments, and camps to grow the sport at the local level.

What a USTA CTA does:

  • Promotes tennis: Works to grow the game in the community through various initiatives.
  • Coordinates programs: Establishes, coordinates, and maintains tennis programs and services.
  • Ensures accessibility: Works to ensure that all programs are open and accessible to everyone in the community.

  • Administrates and promotes: Manages and promotes local tennis activities, events, and programs.
  • Fundraises: Raises funds to support tennis initiatives and facilities.
  • Partners with other organizations: Collaborates with schools, clubs, and other community groups to help grow tennis.
